school time!

school officially started yesterday.

this means i have a 4th grader and a 1st grader.

i'm not really sure how this happened, since last time i looked they were just squishy toddlers.

but somehow it did.

Piper was so excited to be in 1st grade, to actually go on the bus with Lily in the morning like the big kids.

yes, i forgot to scrub off her tattoo,  but i did remember to feed her before she left. kudos to me!

we asked her what her favorite part of school was (assuming she'd say all the recesses)

"school lunch" she said.

of course, our eater, what else would she have loved more? ;)

Lily was amazed that so many of her classmates from last year were in her class

and of course her BFF, Jaxon, what else matters? ;p

Bewtcut just wanted to make sure i have taught her how to sit in a skirt.

he doesn't need to worry, she's still a toddler remember?

she wears diapers, psshh, silly dad.

and of course, now the 3 musketeers (cousin rhett + girls) all go to school at the same time.

life is complete.

i'm sad summer is over and i don't like alarm clocks,

but how can u not love school when they're this excited??

i do still have a 3.5yr old and 20mo old at home,

but it was surprisingly calm all day,

i love my children more than words can say

but i'm never sad school starts. ;)

aaaaaaaaand i may or may not have done this exact happy jump

when the bus drove away. ;)

 but truly i do miss them during the day,

 absence makes the heart grow fonder!

and i pray FALL weather starts up sooner rather than later...
