a 6yr old Piperoni

Miss Piper Nicole turned a whopping 6yr old on Saturday.

She reminded us it was her birthday for 2 weeks, at least

and made sure to use her birthday as leverage for getting her way ALLLLLLLL day. ;)

we actually starting celebrating the night before

with a Birthday "Eve" fort sleep over downstairs with her sisters...

and when she awoke in the morning I had balloons and presents

all around!

and gifts from Grandparents in California (my parents).

is this Christmas? sheesh!

her favoritest gift from her Grammi and Grandude was

her new stuffed horse.

it went along perfectly with her "horse" themed birthday.

among other gifts from US

she requested a Taylor Swift CD...is she 13? sigh...

she then requested a sophisticated breakfast of 2 eggs over easy and 3 cereals mixed together in a bowl.

look how happy that egg is to party!

she immediately declared this as the Best Breakfast Ever!

indeed!

alllllllllll day long it was,

"turn it to MY shows...cuz it's my birthday"

"no being mean to me, cuz it's my birthday"

"is it time for the party yet? when is it going to be dark?"

"look at me hold myself up on the counter now, cuz I'm 6!"

"look how high I can jump now, cuz I'm 6!"

and then...it was party time!

she lined up her horses as the centerpiece

and arranged the horses on her birthday cake.

in-law family came over and we had pizza and sang Happy Birthday!!

she made a wish...

most likely for more toys and clothes

even Presley got in on the pyro action.

well...what do ya know? wishes DO come true!

she got lots more toys and awesome clothes from everyone!

even this guy was able to say Happy Birthday to his little Piperoni Pizza

and she was able to tell him how  bigger, faster, stronger she was and how much fun she had now that she is 6yr old.

thank goodness the connection was good that day!

and yes, since he will be home soon we will be celebrating AGAIN when he gets back!

woohoo for lots of parties!

our little spitfire, sassy, goofy, affectionate, tomboy princess is officially

6yr old.

I can't even believe it.

She's always seemed older than her age,

but still our little Pipey is growing up soooo fast.

I'm glad she got to be spoiled and showered with attention

on her special day

and all I can ask is that it she felt wonderful!

She said,

"This is the BEST Birthday EVER!"

that's all i needed to hear.

T. Time you wake up: I wake up when Bewtcut’s alarm goes off a little before 6am…scratch his back, then try and go back to sleep until most days around 7:10am when the alarm goes off. I may or may not push snooze once or twice.

U. Underwear: on occasion. ;p

V. Vegetables you don’t like: I like most veggies, I’ve never really tried brussel sprouts so maybe those.

W. What makes you run late: sudden poopy diaper, girls goofin’ off or usually Bewtcut who decides to clean the house before we leave or fix something or tend to his lawn…all while we’re waiting in the car already.

X. X-rays you've had:  my spine tons of time. My Dad’s a chiropractor. 

Y. Yummy food you make: Corn Chowder, Mini Meatloves, Buffalo Chicken Enchiladas with Creamy Ranch Sauce. Oh, and cream puffs, snickerdoodles and chocolate cream cheese frosting are the fave desserts.

Z. Zoo animal favorites: Panda bears, although they don’t have them everywhere, but they’ve been my favoritest animal since I was little.

And toddlers. Well, they SHOULD be in a zoo…

is it Thursday already and no post all week?

i must be SUPER busy doing majorly important things...

laundry, spacing out, playing with kids, eating, cleaning, spacing out again.

I haven't been in too much of a funk since Bewtcut left

and i don't think i'm in a funk now

but

it's weird...

when he leaves i'm all productive and strong like i need to be.

but when i know the end is in sight i miss him MORE, 

i start letting my strength down then i get all mushy and lazy and emotional.

the last week is almost WORSE than the entire time

because it's a mixture of anticipation and happiness

and then the walls start crumbling because you know he'll be home soon and having to be the strong one starts to melt...

hence spaced out laziness, LOL.

but I've also been spending more time with all my kiddos

instead of on the computer.

which is always a good thing. :)

i have 2 little girls.

i call them the "little" girls.

My older 2 are the "big" girls.

sometimes these little girls have road rage...in the grocery store.

they can squeal and get irritated with each other a lot.

but mostly, there's lots of hugs going on between these two chunky nuggets.

my littlest little seems to have developed a bad and possibly criminal behavior.

being a "clepto".

"you're not gonna turn me in, are you mommy?"

sorry kiddo, those precious madonna teeth peeking through aren't going to save you this time.

i already called the cops.

ya gotta learn sometime!

of course,

she started freaking out... that criminal instinct to flee was building up.

unfortunately for her, she was strapped down.

that'll teach her.

did you know there are such things as Ninja Princesses??

yep.

this one is crazy

she came up to me and said,

"Ninja is going to kick yours butt"

i'm wondering if Presley hired her to get back at me for turning her into the po-po.

aaaand if you've never had a ginormica

binky-suckin' Chunk, face-slam you,

i highly recommend it.

you'll have a sore nose and face for hours.

it's super fantastical.

this is what i get for hanging out on the couch more i guess.

at least i'm well-loved.

sunday treat: oreo brownies {guest post}

i get nice and lazy during my deployment times

so today we will be treated with a Guest providing today's Sunday Treat.

the ever beautiful, Demerry from the Zoo Keeper.

she has been gracious enough to share an absolutely SIMPLE, mouthwatering dessert with us today!

Hello Lovelies I am Demy, mom, mommy, mama or zoo keeper. 

I have 5 kids- 9-7-6-5-3yr old, so I'm pretty busy with them unless they are asleep or at school or being babysat by the TV, hahaha I don't really do that...wait yes I do. I'm a forever 29 year old who married my Night in Shining Armor and loves oversized sunglasses, toddlers who don't wear diapers, leftovers, pretty things, and anyone or anything that will make me laugh. 

SO I think I have the perfect recipe to share with all of you for my Sunday treat because it's easy peasy but your family/friends/fellow dessert eaters will be in awe of your mad baking skilz.

SO first up are the ingredients:

your favorite brownie mix and a bag of Oreos

butter your cupcake tins.

mix up your brownies as directed and dip your oreos then place them in a cupcake tin.

bake for 10 1/2 min on 350' and you will be a dessert QUEEN! 

Too easy you say? It is! You can thank me later. *wink*

these were made festive with green sprinkles for St. Paddy's Day!

how was everyone's St. Paddy's day??

there was a mischievious lil' leprechaun running rampant through our home while our wee lil' heads lie sleeping in the night.

 we awoke to a ransacked kitchen!

the nerve!!

                              and guess what he did to our dairy liquid sustenance??

tom foolery i tell ya!!

the bets were on between the big girls as to how he turned the milk green.

"maybe he is so small he jumped in and swam around and turned it green"

or 

"maybe he just had to stick his finger in there and it turned green"

and Lily and Piper were SHOCKED at how much he ransacked our kitchen!!

chairs were down, shoes were everywhere, toilet paper strewn about!!

crazy, troublemaker leprechaun!

it was fun to see their faces and hear them discuss all the craziness of the leprechaun and wondering what would be waiting for them at school from such a mischevious fellow.

                                   i walked around the house all day with this gem on.

it may be a St. Patrick's Day gift from my sweet, Bewtcut.

or 

it may be a 99cent plastic costume ring.

you shall never know..............

So the other night I had a dream…

And in this dream was this handsome man.

Mr. Jake Gyllenhall

it's ok...you can take a moment.

In my dream, he liked ME and was pursuing ME…not the other way around.

Naturally, right? Riiiiiiiight.

But as I remembered my lovely celebrity hunk dream I realized that he is the combo I love the mostest.

Combo??

The dark brown hair/blue eyes combo.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I truly find all kinds of men attractive.

Cutie blondes, i'm a sucker for big brown eyes, all that good stuff.
and then all the many ethnic varieties
cuz let's face it, 
a beautiful man...is a beautiful man
regardless of skin color, hair color, or eye color.

But my absolute fave, for me personally

Is brown hair/blue eyes.

Now, my hubby is NOT Jake Gyllenhall…

and i'm NOT comparing him 

BUT

He IS my fave combo.

i saved the best for last, just to truly frighten and traumatize you.

this sucker was INSIDE my window.

i couldn't believe what i saw, 

first of all, cuz it's not summer yet. 

second of all, cuz it's the most GINORMOUS one i've ever seen.

no, i did not have time to go into the garage and search for wasp spray,

on the off chance it flew into my house and grabbed one of my children to take back to it's hive.

so i grabbed some Lime-A-Way out of the pantry

and sprayed like i had an automatic weapon.

i sprayed over and over and over and over.

even when it lay still, i sprayed every 2 min for like 20 min straight just to make sure it wouldn't come back alive and karate chop me to the throat.

so all the suds you see are from the cleaning spray.

it may or may not still be in the windowsill cuz i'm afraid to get it out.
